Revenue Generation Flywheel
The MACRO token features a revenue-sharing model designed to create sustainable value for holders. Revenue is primarily generated from the mcUSDC lending vaults on Morpho and protocol revenues, where a portion of yields and fees funds MACRO buybacks. These buybacks are then distributed to users who stake their MACRO tokens in exchange for sMACRO, a yield-bearing index token representing staked positions. This mechanism aligns incentives by rewarding long-term participation and enhancing token liquidity.
Revenue Generation Flywheel
Revenue for the MACRO token is sourced from all platform revenue, including the mcUSDC lending vaults on Morpho, which optimize USDC yields through efficient lending protocols. Key aspects include:
Yield from Lending: Interest and fees accrued in the mcUSDC vaults as well as all platform revenues will contribute to the protocol's revenue pool.
Fee Application: A 15% fee is applied to overall yields or rewards, divided equally:
1/3 to Revenue (5%): Used for MACRO buybacks to support token price and liquidity.
1/3 to Rebate (5%): Redistributed as incentives to active users.
1/3 to Team (5%): Allocated for development and operations.
Buyback Process: Accumulated revenue in USDC is periodically swapped for MACRO tokens via decentralized exchanges, reducing circulating supply and benefiting stakers.
This buyback and distribution cycle creates a positive feedback loop, where protocol success, TVL growth and participation directly translates to rewards for participants.
Withdrawal and Distribution
To access your share of revenue distributions:
Swap and Receive: USDC from platform revenue is swapped into $MACRO and sent to the staking contract, incorporating any pending revenue shares.
Stake Macro: Accumulated MACRO from buybacks are distributed pro rata automatically via the staking interface. To gain from this, simply stake and the index of sMACRO will increase.
Unstake sMACRO: To withdraw sMACRO and convert back into MACRO, simply unstake from the Staked MACRO contract to receive your MACRO tokens.
Distributions occur based on existing and future revenue cycles, ensuring fair allocation.
